What's the tax/fee per line for Unlimited Standard? Gemini ways between 3.50 and 5.50 for where I am at (Oregon). So that makes it at least $16/line if you have 4+ lines, no deal compared to US Mobile, which is now offering $175/year for similar plan. Earlier in January it was only $120/year and they don't charge any additional fee/tax.

Damn, why are all these amazing phone/plan deals coming in around the same time? I just switched 4 lines to Cricket for the awesome iphone deals, and I was looking to get 2 lines at Spectrum for the S26 promo, and now Google Fi comes in.

Google Fi is basically T-mobile reseller. If you don't need International roaming, go with another provider for better coverage and signal. Especially if signal is already weak in your area.
The plans that are on sale do NOT include international roaming.

serious question - if you already have a google voice number, can you keep that, and use GV w. that line, and port in a regular number to use here?

When I moved over years ago, I was able to keep my google voice line, and that became my main number.

Yes it is. My family and I all came from T-Mobile after their last 50% off promo and have been happy with the same service (and $80 a month savings compared to our previous x4 line Go5G plan)
Tnx on the info.

They now say: "You can have separate Google Fi Wireless and Google Voice numbers on the same Google account and set up call forwarding between them." https://fi.google.com/about/faq Previously I was told that if I brought my google voice number to Fi, it would become my Fi number, and I wouldn't be able to remove it from Fi and use it as a google voice number again. That sounded like a problem to me.

Anyone have issues with taking google fi on a Mexico trip? like service wise? I assume calls and text are included if I looked at their site correctly.

(Tangential.) I just recently switched from T-Mobile to Verizon. (last week) My coverage has been better at home and pretty much everywhere w/in 30 miles. Coverage is of course 100% dependent on specific areas, but this has been my experience. YMMV big time.

You want monthly with fi. They had us by the... contracted phone. Support kept having us drive for 20 minutes to call someone because we could not complete a call to a number in our area (not due to coverage, but their routes). Every call to support was a new call to support, reboot your phone, turn on logging, send reports, try driving 20 miles away from your location, now try to call. Drive to the person that is not receiving your calls. Call their support (not the way that works, if you don't believe me call a carrier and tell them you can't call one of their customers) l they would not get routing department involved. I would complete a call with a diiferent carrier (completing the call) then try fi 1 minute later proving the terminating party was able to take calls. I then called with the other carrier (again completing the call. My favorite was when support said you need to be at the person's house you are calling and i said listen hear you f'er stay on the phone with me for 5 minutes and we will be there (calling his bluff) he lied and said he would send my call to the routing department (to get me off the phone) Ended up reporting to FCC, then google from America called and let us out of the phone contract and reimbursed the phone plan so that I would drop the FCC complaint. So they still can not complete a call in my area, but i don't care.

Tl;Dr DO NOT ENTRER INTO A CONTRACT WITH GOOGLE.

I see that the promo is until March 25th. Can I sign up on March 25th but activate the lines say in Mid April? How long do I have after the sign up to activate and port the numbers? Thanks.
