A couple tips / things to keep in mind if you're considering going with Google Fi:
You can get an additional $60 Google Fi statement credit if you use a referral code when initially signing up.
If you're porting multiple numbers for yourself or family members, make sure everyone fully joins the plan before the March 25th deadline. We were told we had 30 days to port everyone, but two family members didn't accept their email invites before the 50% cutoff. Getting Google Fi support to honor the promo afterward was quite a hassle.
If you by chance have an Amex Blue Cash Preferred card, Google Fi codes as "internet streaming" (which counts under their streaming perk), so I've been getting 6% cash back on my Fi phone bill.
Overall my family and I haven't noticed any drawbacks on Unlimited Standard, and are saving over $80 per month compared to our previous T-Mobile plan.

I currently am on Mint who includes 3gb roaming in Canada on my plan, 0gb in Mexico and have crappy options with my plan for a 10-day/10gb "Minternational" (cringe) pass for international roaming. For a longer trip or more frequent travel it's a PITA to have to deal with all that hokey pokey of adding passes. They offer a 30-day international pass with 0 data roaming, since we all know in 2026 calls and texts is the real priority on phones...
My plan that doesn't exist I'm still waiting to buy would be a prepaid plan that acknowledges "prepaid" no longer means "I don't travel internationally". I'd be willing to pay 50% more for even 3g coverage globally ($30/mo) even if I don't use it. I'd pay $30/moth as an individual to never have to think/worry about international roaming again--and that was one of the unique/interesting points of Google Fi(global coverage included) at launch, its international coverage was broad and not ticky-tacky.
Prepaid has come a long way in the last 10 years, hope they continue to broaden offerings.
