No, they didn't. It was only the HX processors. Make sure you have your facts straight before you comment.
Also, "various still unknown (supposedly) issue" is proof that you don't know what you're commenting about. A 3–4-year-old processor cannot have unknown issues after being released for that long.

Pretty sure all you have to do is update to the latest bios. I believe the update from Intel solved the issue.

Honestly ain't rolling the dice with over a grand...
14th gen intel is also power hungry...trying to get something performance-per-watt efficient.

It is embarrassing how confidently wrong you are lol. Did you ask AI and write the slop it spat out?it is very well known those desktop processors have degradation issues especially if the motherboard is not patched and a simple google search will show you that.

My buddy had it happen himself and had to RMA his 13900 twice and they ended up just refunding him. No one would ever recommend this gen Intel in 2026 unless you get some insane deal, especially for a prebuilt which is usually bought by people that can't diagnose or even know this flaw exists and won't be able to RMA it

random google "Intel i7 14700F problems"

The Intel Core i7-14700F is prone to stability issues and potential premature failure due to excessive voltage, similar to other 13th/14th Gen chips, necessitating an immediate BIOS update (microcode 0x12F or newer). Users commonly report high temperatures, thermal throttling, and gaming instability (crashes), often requiring robust cooling and power limit adjustments to perform optimally.
Intel Community

Key Issues and Details
Instability and Voltage Issues: Affected by a microcode bug causing high voltage, leading to crashes and potential degradation. This primarily affects 13th/14th Gen processors, including the i7-14700F.
Thermal Management: The CPU runs very hot, with reports of temperatures reaching

under load, requiring high-end cooling solutions (large air coolers or 240mm+ AIOs).
Gaming Stability: Users have reported application crashes and "out of video memory" errors in gaming, which can be mitigated by updating the BIOS.
Performance Issues: In some prebuilt systems, the 14700F may underperform in benchmarks if power limits are severely restricted, or conversely, run too hot if they are not restricted enough.
No Integrated Graphics: Being an "F" series processor, it requires a dedicated graphics card.

I am getting $1499 (not $1402) after the 3 coupons.
$1700 -100 -51 -50 = $1499
