pro tip: use a cardboard tube from the inside of a paper towel roll. If it needs to be longer, use one from the center of Christmas wrapping paper. FREE

Most shop vac hoses are too big. The outer diameter I think on this hose is 0.73 in. which can let you really get into the cavity where the lint trap goes, and also make the bend so that the hose can also get into the opening/hole that connects the lint cavity with the exhaust pipe that's inside the dryer. The good is that the hose is easily maneuverable in that small space. The bad is that the hose clogs easily, and you'll have to unclog it a few times if there's quite a bit of large chunks of lint. Also the worst part for me at least is that since the hose is so small in diameter, running vacuum air through the hose causes a really loud, high pitched whistle. On mine, I actually wear ear plugs while I clean the trap out.

good price but you should really buy one with the long brush stick. The suction from a vac won't be strong enough to get the lint that is attached to the inside of the dryer. You need to use the brush first to scrap the lint off then use a vac to suck the lint out.

I ordered one and just got it. I used it with my Shark vacuum and it worked great. I was impressed with how clean it got the dryer vent clean on my LG dryer. It even payed for itself a little since I vacuumed some coins that somehow made it into the vent.

Agreed. I got a similar one with the brush and it helps. Not cleaning the dryer and vent is a big cause of fires so it's good to keep everything clean.

It's soft plastic so is flexible to get down in there. A normal crevice tool can't reach all the way because it gets stopped because of the angle. This you just push it and it bends to get all the way down.

Not sure what you are thinking but it's a legit concern in some vents. Maybe yours is simple enough. Mine has obstructions and pretty tight space.
