While the handle is decent, the sponge doesn't hold up. Mine went to its grave after the second time. The fabric that they call Kevlar tore from the heat and steam, I continued using it until it completely fell apart. Save your money and get the Scrubdaddy pack at Costco. It comes with a bunch of spare sponges and was about $25. So far after using the Scrubdaddy, it hasn't changed at all in appearance. I've used it numerous times. It's waaaay better value.

That hyphen between "Bristle" and "Free" is kinda important, OP.

To be clear, the costco bbqdaddy comes with one spare sponge. I got mine a few weeks ago and it is fantastic assuming you use it according to the directions.

Yep, ordered one and the sponge developed a hole after the first use. Going back to Amazon and will look at the Scrubdaddy from Costco. Thanks.

Does anybody know exactly what Kevlar is made of?
