Front porting and relatively compact size = perfect for a desktop or a small bedroom. Solid all-around performance and excellent bang-for-the-buck (unlike SVS, cough cough).
1" silk dome tweeter with wide-dispersion waveguide = smooth, accurate highs and extended high-frequency response
5-1/4" aramid-fiber woofer with oversized magnet and vented pole piece = punchy bass and midrange
frequency response: 46-35,000 Hz = surprisingly decent bass for this size class!
bass-reflex (ported) cabinet with front-firing port = flexible placement against a wall or bookshelf

I bought the 6.5" version of these a few months ago for my turntable setup in the living room. What I liked about them was the front port, so I could keep them near a wall. Many speakers are rear ported. Also, with the 6.5 at least, there's enough bass that I don't feel like I'm missing a ton of bass, if you know what I mean. It's not my old 12" Cerwin Vega's from the 90s by any means. But, it gets the job done in a "wife accepted" way in my living room. They sound great with my collection, which is mostly 60s-90s rock and alt rock. I have these paired with an Everplay Solo for streaming, which also has a preamp for the turntable.
