Hard to find info on this model despite it being out since last year, can't find details like what wireless chipset/SoC it's using (Qualcomm, Mediatek, etc.) which would help inform likelihood of it being supportable by OpenWRT.

I'm personally distrusting of stock firmware from most vendors especially for these lower priced travel routers, GL.iNet at least is fairly transparent about what they're putting on these and you can log in to investigate everything; even still, I typically replace their preinstalled OS with vanilla OpenWRT and add only customizations relevant to my use cases

Might pick one up to contribute some documentation about what's inside, but if installing third-party firmware is important to you, take note.

Mediatek MT7981B (Filogic 820), I believe same dual-core 1.3Ghz SoC as the Beryl AX, Asus AX57 Go, and TP-Link WR3002X.

Only one Ethernet port kinda kills it compared to GL.iNet offerings for the price.
