If you use Android Auto wirelessly, avoid Razr. I've had 2 Razr (2023 and 2025) and both encountered issues where AA couldn't initiate unless I opened the main screen. It got resolved for 2023 but the issue came back when 2025 got updated to Android 16. Google (AA team) was no help. Still not fixed as of today.

Sold my Flip⁷ for this. 2 months in - no regrets... Outside screen is useless on Flip⁷ but totally awesome on this device. Cuts my doomscrolling by >50%

How can one be sure that this phone is not a 2024 Razr+? The model number in settings is XT2451-1 (identical to the 2024 Razr+) and there are no visual differences between the 2024 and 2025 versions. Does anyone know whether the 2025 Razr+ says arcfox or arcfox25 in fastboot mode?

ETA: The 2025 Razr+ should be XT2557-*. This says XT2451-1 right on the box! Has Woot played us?

I bought it.
When I put the IMEI number into T-Mobile trade-up website, it shows as Razr+ 2025.
I take it that means Woot is not playing us.
Love the phone, btw.

When I did that on multiple IMEI checkers, they pulled up a 2024 Razr+ (including T-Mobile's trade-in page). Like I said.

Now you've got me wondering about this. If you run your IMEI against any IMEI checker it'll come back as a 2024 model. Some info below from an AI search. Hopefully Woot didn't pull fast one on us. I'll probably reach out to Motorola directly and see what they say.

AI search:
The XT2451-1 model number corresponds to the Motorola Razr+ 2024 (known internationally as the Razr 50 Ultra), which was released in 2024.
Model Number: XT2451-1 / XT2451-2 (Motorola Razr+ 2024).
Release Year: 2024.
Context regarding 2025 confusion:
While some listings or software information might incorrectly display "2025" (potentially due to being sold or updated in 2025), the XT2451-1 is formally the 2024 Razr+ model. The 2025 Razr+ model is a distinct, newer device with upgraded features like a different processor and larger battery.

The model number XT2451-1 corresponds to the motorola razr+ (2024).
If you'd like, tell me what you want to do (e.g., eSIM setup, camera issues, battery, external display, etc.), and I can give you steps specific to your razr+ (2024).

I was sold one as a 2025

The XT2451-1 is officially the motorola razr+ (2024) model.
There is no official "razr+ (2025)" announced or released as of my latest available information, so if a seller specifically advertised it as a 2025 model, that is likely:
A mislabeling / misunderstanding, or
Potentially misleading advertising.
To better assist you, please provide:
Where you bought it (e.g., carrier store, retailer, online marketplace).
Whether the box and paperwork say razr+ (2024) or anything different.
Any model name shown in Settings > About phone.

Some websites (incorrectly) state that the 2025 Razr+ has upgraded hardware relative to the 2024 Razr+, which is why AI is spewing out false info (like upgraded processor or battery). Our challenge is that Motorola may have been stupid enough to label both the 2024 Razr+ and the 2025 Razr+ as XT2451-1 (the card inside the box lists both XT2451-1 and XT2557-2 as model numbers for the 2025 Razr+). If the IMEI and the model number match those of a 2024 Razr+ (even if the phone is physically a 2025 version), this has implications for warranty coverage, Android version upgrades, trade-in value, etc.

Mine came in the black Motorola box saying Razr+ 2025. TMobile and several IMEI check websites identify it as Razr+ 2025.
So I'm pretty confident mine is a legit 2025 model.

Does your box also mention XT2451-1? Right above the IMEI

The phone identifies itself as Razr+ 2025. The Google Pixel from which I transferred my data identifies it as Razr+ 2025.
Unless this is some elaborate conspiracy between Motorola and Woot to put software on it that identifies it as such and put it in a box that identifies it as such, it's a frikin' Razr+ 2025.
