If you're not space constrained, I'd recommend a dedicated air fryer over this. I had the Ninja DCT401 and changed over to a dedicated air fryer with a separate toaster oven. The difference is night and day - much, much higher quality food is coming out of the dedicated air fryer and it's significantly easier to keep clean.

Have you baked in this? Like a cake or brownies? I don't like to use my big oven.

Could not disagree more. I have a ninja similar to the linked, and I got rid of my basket air fryer immediately. Haven't missed it in 3 1/2 years

I've had this for a while. It is amazing. Make sure you clean it after use, so the oil doesn't bake on.

This is not the same version. The one in this post is the stainless version.

is this good for making one's own rotisserie chicken?

ive had a dt201 "Foodi XL" for several years. looks like theres several models with the same shell and internals, and they vary as to whether they include the temperature probe or not (dt201 does not), and cosmestic differences (this "Prestige" has kind of an all stainless steel look compared to the the dt201, dt251/costco dt255)

ive been happy with it, my only gripe is the lcd that displays the time and temp has had segments either dim or die completely so it is a little tricky to make sure it's set right, EG one digit display had the top segment die so a 7 looks like a 1. hopefully newer revisions have addressed this, i found it was a pretty common complaint when i looked into it a couple years ago.

they don't have a rotisserie feature but they'll roast a chicken just fine. best to flip it halfway through cooking.

you an bake cookies etc. in it. it bakes more like a convection oven, the fan is just slower in bake mode vs air fry mode. i think lowering the baking temperature a little is a good idea.

Besides stainless, is there any major difference between the two?

I have the older version with black plastic handlebar. Baked multiple things and still do. Brownies, cinnamon rolls, cookies, loaf cake, Bundt cake, bread in Dutch oven. It does a great job, less heat in the kitchen since it's smaller than a traditional oven. The only caveat is I've had to add maybe 10 more minutes to the bake time than usually stated on the packaging. Warm up is 90 seconds.

It looks like the Costco version has the "Auto Temp Detect Intelligence" feature. A similar model is being sold at Amazon for $250. Costco version is $220.
