Plus, I'd buy a mac, before I bought an AceMagic laptop. They're not an established laptop brand, as far as I know, and wouldn't buy one if I NEEDED it for school or work, for that reason, plus I wonder what the warranty and service experience is with the AceMagic... at least in the US...🤔
Decent specs for a decent price though... Just wonder about longevity and updates...🤷 ♂️

That's almost 1/3 of the Neo (iphone processor). Intel and AMD is really garbage at this price tier. no amount of ram and disk will overcome slow ass CPU that can't do anything except lagging.
Neo runs circle around all of my Windows machine with 32GB (1260p, 1250U (maybe off by a number) 2019 Intel 16GB Macbook Pro 16 with 8 intel cores, whatever the variant is... slow af). I would not reach for them and rather use the Neo
Neo replaced my M4 Pro for daily use (offloaded all local LLM to my 5090 laptop) for a lighter carry. will still get M5 Max when I am inspired and have enough use-cases to use 128GB of RAM. (lots of LLM, lots of agents, content creation, all local, and offload video and images to 5090 where it's still gonna be faster despite the lower 24GB VRAM there).
Please don't compare HW and in this case Macbook Neo will fly while this thing chugs like a sloth, the experience matters, you can cheap dirt cheap but the experience sucks. Not to mention the Apple Eco
Neo is also the perfect pairing for anyone who uses their iPhone as the primary device (meaning, on the phone all day for everything the do, Neo will be a perfect companion device at just $499 EDU Discount (of course I slickdealed it myself with EDU discount for the lowest spec as that's all I need for an alternate light carry)
I just realized I have a dell 7400 with 8th gen CPU that is 1300 in geekbench single cpu. 32GB of RAM, I let it run linux and openclaw and I would not use it as primary/secondary, just a side computer to run autonomous tasks that I don't need to "wait" on is fine. Sitting in front of it to usei t? No way. slooooow.
Jesus this thing CPU's single core is

CPU is Zen 2 but you do get 8 cores, so single-core is ~20% slower than Zen 3 (like the Ryzen 5 5625U / 7430U) but multi-core is about the same as a 6-core Zen 3.
