Awesome mouse, but you probably want the g502x. The non-x model has the double click issue that can start within months to a couple of years depending on how lucky you are.

2yr warranty, and I've heard of people replacing switches before so willing to roll the dice.

I tried getting the x version but it felt cheaper. The click had a very distinct tinny noise to it so ended up reverting back to another 502 non-x

Replacing the switch isn't that difficult as well. The switches themselves are are usually a dollar or less. I used to replace my mice after a switch failed but the last time it happened with my steelseries, I replaced the switch and it's been fine since.

Yes. Pretty much if they aren't optical they are the exact same switches in every mouse for at least the last 40 years. I have actually repaired a lot of switches without replacing them sometimes taking the cover off and just bending the metal a little does the trick as well.

$16 for this mouse is a steal. Not the best imo but mine has held up well for 5 years or so.

I've done the same with a few of my Logitech mice. From what I learned it really isnt the switch losing its springiness, rather tarnish that builds over the contact points on the switch. I tested this by removing the switch and cleaning it without bending the spring portion to increase tension. The mouse has been double-click free for 4 months so far.

I've been using a G5-- series mouse for years for CAD work. It has a nice fit to my hand and the programmable buttons can be used for common commands. The adjustable DPI is nice for changing precision depending on what you're working on.

Yup, can confirm the double click issue, had the wireless version of this and within a year it started.
