meh..costco just had the ceravae 2 pack with a pump on one for $20
In my view, this makes the Vanicream a better deal, since it's two for $26, and comes with a $10 promotional credit (I shop at Amazon enough to consider the $10 credit as good as cash).

How does this compare to Cerave? Please only answer if you've used both. Thanks!

Vanicream was recommended by two of our pediatricians to help with our son's eczema which has been gone for a few years now. Vanicream is much thicker than cerave - for this price, I'd say to try it out.

We use this stuff with our 3-year old and her eczema. Thick and greasy, but perfect for after-bath moisturizing. My only complaint is it's so thick, sometimes its hard to get the last bit out of a jar. EXCELLENT PRICE if the $10 credit will get used naturally. Ty OP!

Vanicream is superior for extreme sensitivities, eczema, and allergy-prone skin due to its minimal, "bland" formula. CeraVe is better for repairing the skin barrier, offering hydrating ingredients like ceramides and hyaluronic acid. Vanicream is generally less likely to cause irritation, while CeraVe is often preferred for daily hydration.

Choose Vanicream if your skin is reactive, severely dry, or allergic to standard cosmetic ingredients.

Choose CeraVe if you need daily moisture, barrier repair, and want to incorporate ingredients like niacinamide.

My daughter has very severe skin allergies, to the point where we sometimes have to (as rarely as possible) use steroid cream. We also had to stop using most soaps. This stuff was recommended by our derm and works really well. It even works well for my eczema.

I continue using both. CeraVe is more absorbing and Vanicream moisturizers more and takes much, much longer to absorb and leaves skin somewhat sticky to touch. My skin feels a bit of stinging from CeraVe but none from Vanicream.

I really like Cerave. I'll give this a try. Not sure if I am a fan of thick and greasy.
