Worth noting that a ps4 to Ps5 upgrade is only available in the digital deluxe edition. If you pop this into your Ps5 you'll be playing the ps4 version. You'll need to buy the Ps5 version separately to get the features for the Ps5.

Just remember that there's a challenge about 10% in the game where you need to collect books, and due to a bug, it never registers the last book of 5. The game gets stuck and you cant progress. No fix from devs yet.

So there is no way to avoid that, you can only get 10% in and no further?

This must be an isolated thing. Try reloading an earlier save.

I've beaten this on Xbox Series S, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, and haven't seen this issue.

I wouldn't worry about it. There are lots of quests outside the school grounds that just aren't worth doing, so likely you'll never be full completionist anyway.

This is only secondhand, but I went searching about this as I planned to buy this as a gift for someone, and no, it doesn't stop you from beating the game. I found folks chatting about the Steam version (guess all platforms have this problem!), and this is a single quest, and sometimes folks can make the last book appear by restarting their game and returning to the area, or by exploring higher up. They mention things like books which look like the flying ones you are supposed to collect, but they're just decoration (which sounds frustrating, haha).

That's the long answer, but the short answer to your question is: no! It's not that you get through 10% of the game and are stuck forever; I believe this person meant to say that you get about 10% through the game, encounter a challenge (quest) you can't finish, but it's inconsequential to progress and you can keep playing!

I played this for a while and thought it was OK. Then I stepped away for a few months and completely forgot all the controls and gave up in frustration.
