Wasn't this the book where the estate authorized it to be rewritten because it offended people?

EDIT: There was absolutely a rewrite, but that's not what I'm thinking of. It was this idiotic intro: https://www.newsweek.com/new-1984...rs-2082192

This was a great read, I read it almost 30 years ago in HS. I'd say, where else would we be buying the book, but the irony isn't lost on me that amazon is the one selling the book. They'd be one of those involved in some Ministry of Information type of board.
