1. Sliders are better to consistently confirm the bag is sealed

2. The storage kind (red) is in my opinion, too flimsy for regular use. The blue kind (freezer) is thicker and more useful even for storage

Sliders suck for all average humans. The slider tab usually falls off, doesn't seal, and is always extra plastic that normal people don't need to seal a ziplock with normal fingers.
As far as thickness goes, I recommend getting the thickness that withstands the abuse you subject the contents to.

These are great for storing 1kg filament rolls!
WAY cheaper at Sams Club though (and Im sure Costco) at 216 for $14.

Cheap sliders, sure. Ziplock sliders have never had that issue for me (Hefty and store brand are another story).
