They are great, I have two of them printing stuff right now. I went from a couple of Ender 3v2, these are light years better. They just work, and print super fast.

I have had an Ender in the past as well. I now have a Elegoo Centauri Carbon which is a similar machine but only single color. It is defintely worth the upgrade. They do have a more expensive Centauri Carbon 2 which is similar to this but more expensive. You would probably be better off with a Bambu Lab P2S over the Elegoo though. If you really don't want to worry about fixing your printer and want a really clean out of box experience go with the Bambu lab if you can afford it. All these printers are so much better than the cheap creality ones.

i bought the anycubic 3 v2 with the ace pro. the ace pro never worked out of the box. I was offered 40 dollars off. Should I stick with that or return and buy this?

In Orca when you highlight the object there is a box up top you can select to "paint" it. Various ways to go about it there.

Within OrcaSlicer there are painting tools (red box in photo) that can do what you want. In the attached photo i simply changed the filiment (colors) at different layers to give you an example. Hope that helps.
