Yeah I bought 4 different kinds: premium, 3rd party, Eco friendly, high concentration. They make your clothes smell better if you use extra sheets, but doesn't even get out light stains, with pre stain treatment.
They effing SUCK.
Appliance Techs, especially washer dryer techs, said powdered Tide is best. Because the granules actually scrub your clothes. I switched, and you know what? They were RIGHT.
Laundry Sheets tend to be 2-4 grams each, versus Powder at 24 grams per load, and Tidepods type package around 25-35 grams. There just isnt enough cleaning material in laundry sheets, you have to use SO many of them to get equivalent cleaning, and by then there is absolutely 0 value.

I see the comments here are very negative. My experience - not what I saw in a YouTube video - is positive. The laundry sheets work just fine for me on typical use washes: clothes, bedding, towels. The clothes smell nice, they get clean, I have no complaints.
They don't do any miracles though - if you've got stains (e.g., oil, wine) then I wouldn't count on the sheets alone to get the stains out. If you live a "heavily soiled life" (e.g., parent of younger children), I'd probably use something else.

How many of those appliance techs actually do laundry? As someone already posted, powdered detergent dissolves quickly in water, so there is nothing to "scrub" the clothes.
I've been using laundry sheets for a couple of years now. While they may not be very effective against tough stains, I think they work fine for every day office clothes that rarely get soiled.

Yeah that's what I found. Nobody in my household work at construction site or play football. Our laundry is light duty and tbh plain water would just do fine. Even when we use multiple sheets it's still less $/load than double-digit gram of detergent pods. We do spot cleaning for mishaps as well.
I watched JeevesNY's youtube. He pretty much endorsed tide evo tile, which is about 6-8 compacted laundry sheets with extra price premium (unless you pay $0.30/sheet like he mentioned.) This one comes out less than $0.03/sheet. You can throw 10 of them and still cheaper than single tile.
Ive used detergent sheets for over a year. My daughter gave me a box. I have had a positive experience with them. I do all kinds of work. I get dirty. Does a pretty good job. They won't get out a oil stain or roofing tar. Its not a miracle substance. Get everyday dirt and grime out for me.
