my smashburger place sucks, won't let me order online. They're still in the 1950's.

Internet was about 1998, with mainstream hitting 2000's

If you really want to go there...

In 1940s, a hamburger from McDonald's was $0.15 on $0.30/hr. Today that would be around $2.71 on 7.25/hr. So if this deal was passively aimed at people in Washington D.C., a district in the U.S. that has the highest wage of $17.95/hr. and someone were able to get it for this price; they would find it as being a good price. Affordable would be like $6.69. At the least end of the spectrum, a state or district would have to have a wage of at least $16.02 where a $6 burger would be a good price or at least affordable. Off the top of my head, I am looking at California.

Cattle supply has been declining in recent years. Supply and demand.
