I have tried a bunch of different pillows (solid mem foam, down, poly filled, butterfly, cluster foam) and they all sorta suck for me a side sleeper. This pillow is a solid memory foam pillow but it's hard, it will form to your head like memory foam but it's slow to react and maintains a lot of loft. It's not perfect but it's the only pillow I have used that maintains proper neck angle for me (with wide shoulders) as a side sleeper. I can get past the stiffness for the most part but I have a habit of having my down arm extended under the pillow, and this pillow isn't very compatible with that sleeping position. So a bit of retraining with both arms forward not under the pillow is helpful. As goofy and wrong this this thing seems at first try, I had a surprisingly good sleep, the pillow maintains it's loft in any position and even though the foam is harder it has a low density that doesn't trap as much heat as my previous pillows. I have been using it for about a week and it's been a big improvement for me.
