Might as well start with Olympic bar unless you have 1 inch plates. Plenty of frequent on sale $1 per lb beginner cheap Olympic plates.

I'd suggest removing Olympic from your title. It set off my alert and as you mention, it's not an Olympic bar

I use one of these in my rack for inverted rows and.... whatever you want to call skullcrushers where you use your bodyweight?

Anyway, handy to have.

The 5' bar for $7.99 is a great cheap breaker bar when connecting to a pipe as a sleeve to a socket breaker bar
