Previous discussion is below. Same price but did not include the extra 20 bucks. Seems like a no brainer.

Why you should consider this machine?
- Good brand
- Good entry level machine that isn't "junk" (for example this one has a 3-way valve that dries the coffee puck).
- Small in size. Great starter model.
- No built in grinder (could be + or -, allows you to choose your own grinder).
Where will it let you down?
- Might be slower to froth milk
- Tank is small, and so is the drip tray
- If you expect this to make 22g shots (like how the professional coffee houses do).
---
At the end of the day, this is just like any other purchase decision. Are you serious coffee drinker? Do you need to save counter space? Will you be ok with more required maintenance (water and drip tray changes).
If these trade offs work for you, then this is not a bad choice.
One other route to consider to save money is consider going on a hunt for a used pro-grade machine on FB marketplace. I am currently using a Nuova Simonelli Musica - that I purchased for about $500 almost 5 years ago. No problems so far, and it is NSF rated - so literally "professional grade". And pro-grade machines are just big trucks - they can pull their weight and make your life easier to accomplish the task at hand (I only have to refill and change drip trays about once a week). The milk frothing is super fast. And I regularly use 22g doses. And I expect it will be in useful service life for atleast 5 more years - its built like a tank (real copper, good quality pumps and hoses).

The Plus dries out the pucks... this model leaves a very small amount of water on the top of each puck. To me, it makes no difference, when I take the puck out... it does not leak water and is dry enough.
The Plus is a bigger machine so it's drip tray is bigger... but I don't look at that as a positive. Having a low profile machine to me is much better.
The water tank is smaller... I am surprised that so many people complain about this. SURE, if you are making cups for many people, you may need to add water. I am just the only coffee drinker in my household and I find it is FINE. And How long water stays "good" in a plastic tank depends on whether you are prioritizing safety or the flavor of your brew, while water doesn't technically expire, it does stagnate and react to its environment. Rule of thumb... water should not sit in your plastic reservoir for more then 48 hours.
Me personally I make myself a latte every morning but I use the microwave to warm up some milk. The worst thing about any espresso machine is cleaning the milk wand after each use. Even my brother that has a thousand dollar machine uses his microwave but he has a manual frother... I personally don't care about the froth.
Here are the differences between the PLUS and regular.
1. Plus is a bigger machine, more counter space... therefore a larger drip tray but I have never splilled a DROP using the regular machine. Point is having a larger drip tray is a mot point
2. Plus has something that will leave your pucks more dry... this has nothing to do with taste... and the wetness of the regular pucks is nothing with nothing IMHO. Bambino Plus: Has a 3-way solenoid valve. When you stop your shot, it instantly depressurizes the group head and sucks away excess water. This leaves you with a "dry puck" that knocks out easily. I find the regular bambino leaves the pucks dry enough and they knock out really easy. Never had one single drop of water fall out of a puck... point is, it is dry enough. So AGAIN, this is a mot point.
3. Larger water tank 64OZ VS 47OZ. Again, I consider this a mot point. I like changing my water... SAFER, better tasting coffee.
4. Milk frother... they both can accomplish the identical thing. The regular frother needs to done a certain way to create the froth... usually heating the milk at the very top edge... while the plus can just pop into the milk and you should get the same results... the plus has FOUR holes going through the milk/steamer wand and the regular is like it has been in the last 100 years, just one hole so you need to heat it up at the top. AGAIN, I consider this a mot point.
5. The plus comes with a metal tapper while the regular is plastic... (I purchased a tapper from Amazon many years ago for an older machine)... but AGAIN... this is a mot point.
I think that is the big differences between the two models.
I personally do not see the point of the plus model, especially since it just takes up more space. The quality and taste of the espresso is identical!!! And that is why I feel the plus is a waste of money... IMHO.
