These DDR / SSD prices are so high it's causing a disturbance across other parts of pc building. Look for motherboards, cases, power supplies and peripherals to be heavily discounted. Possibly many of your favorites could go bankrupt if this issue isn't settled soon

Huh? I upgraded right at the right time just before these price increases and the parts were much cheaper. I bought a 5700x for about $140.00 shipped from egg, not that cheap now, about $170.00 and up now. If anything I think the memory prices are making prices of ddr4/am4 stuff go up because it's just about the only way to buy without being raped. I'll keep an eye to see if you may be right but so far I don't see it.

Also the 32GB kit of corsair ddr4 I bought at the same time was less than $75. This was around the fall of last year.

It's a dividing line. You either use AM4 (DDR4, AM4 CPUs, AM4 MBs) or AM5 (DDR5, AM5 CPUs, AM5 MBs). There's no mixing and matching. Given how expensive DDR5 is, this is kind of a steal. $300 for 64GB? That's routinely $800+ for DDr5. And honestly a 5900XT (16 cores) with a B550 MB costs a fraction of the AM5 alternative right now.
