Been using this for 3 weeks. Battery life is noticeably better than my gopro hero 9, getting around 160 mins vs 90 mins. Makes a big difference on long trail rides, price has been bouncing between $199-$229 lately. good deal if battery life matters to you.

I've used the first generation Action Cam for snorkeling/SCUBA dives. This is a huge upgrade and I've been very happy with the image and video quality from the first generation. The Action Cam 4 has great image quality and battery life. The Action Cam 5 can be obtained for about $100 more - it has a larger sensor with a 40 MP camera compared to 10 on this model, but many of the videos/images from that camera have a tendency towards being more blown out. You can shoot in RAW and edit to your desire while capturing more image detail.

TLDR: Great camera line for snorkeling.

Osmo action 5 seems like a better deal if you are rei member. 20% off until March23 and some cash back too. It has better battery life and internal storage.

You can't use the 20% as the price is already discounted and it will cost you almost 2x compared to action 4.
