literally the same product for $20 (I paid $22 last year): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D1KFD867

I get that this site has to run on sponsorships, but seriously, staff posts are utter garbage. it's like you're not even trying anymore.

How good of an edge does it produce? I keep my knives razor sharp and would like to have something that's quicker than the work sharp system I have.

"Literally", not the same product. I hate shill post as much as the next but the posted deal has more angles . And yes that matters . I have the original but 4 of my knives are lower than 15 degrees . So contemplating this just to hold them 10 degrees. Although I'd prefer it was 12 degrees

Agree, not the same product. Agree, multiple angles do matter, a lot.
From illustration, it looks like one can dial any angle. That is so helpful to match the previous grind, and not have to re-grind.
This hinges on the contraption working well. I am not sure it will, but who knows.

I thought the same but the description/picture in listing says "five sharpening angles" which is still better than 2

I have bought a few different of these products, i would suggest to make sure you can find good replacement heads, usually the one that come with aren't the best

Thanks for bringing my attention to that. Also worth noting - the post provided has 200 reviews vs the one you shared >1k reviews. To me it sounds like promotion post

How good is the product you got? Both seem like a good price for the product compared to the name brand ones. Yes, not a slick deal, but I've been eyeing these types of sharpeners since the expensive ones were heavily advertised. Any recommendations to something worth the money, to get started? All my knives are dull half the time 'cause I'm doing it wrong. I've just got a single Arkansas style whetstone right now. Thanks in advance for any SD'ers advice!

That's all it ever is on SD. Not even mentioning that this product is a Chinese copy of a non-chinese brand that created it.
