At checkout, you have the options of selecting InKind Balance, InKind Offers, and InKind Cashback. You can't mix and match anymore.

Looks like the golden age of InKind is over.

We recently made some changes to our U.S. terms of use and privacy policy, which will go into effect for all inKind users.

Terms of Use
These changes:
Update how and when components of inKind Balances can be used. This will simplify the checkout flow to allow you to use either a) inKind Cash, b) inKind Cash Back or c) an offer you may have. Making this change will reduce friction at checkout and also give inKind the opportunity to support more restaurants.

Yeah, this absolutely sucks. No longer straight 20%. Normally I wouldnt care as I prefered to use balance but now I have to deal with cashback due to the stacking

Just got email that CPK is dropping InKind as of 5/22/2026. That's it. I'm done with Inkind once I use up all the GC. Family spends 98% of InKind funds at CPK. Could be a warning sign to what's coming down.

If I have a traditional physical coupon for a restaurant, can I still pay with InKind? Maybe use up my promotional balance up too?

I've noticed this too. The restaurants I was most likely to use my balance at are no longer on the app. It doesn't seem to bode well for their future. I've stopped buying the gift cards since I don't know if I can count on using them at places I like.

I've never done it, but in my best guess, I would say yes. The restaurant would need to apply the coupon to the check, and THEN give you the check. As long as it happens that way, I don't see what the problem would be. Hope it works.

I would say no. I was at Duffys and I had reward dollars from the Duffys app and the manager said I could not combine them because they are two different promotional programs. He ended up giving me a credit as a courtesy but technically I would say no.

I had another bartender tell me I could not use during happy hour.
