It's cheap but I wouldn't get this one. I am holding out for a dual bevel (more options for more uses) and sliding too to again have more use cases

This is barebones but will probably work for a lot of people

Its a pretty good deal, but this is something you buy once. Spend the money and buy the dual bevel.

As a person who's dad ran a building company single bevel is fine. This is more of a chop saw and still manages to get the other stuff done. We always used single bevel on site and left the sliding in the shop. Also if you have military discount you can order from Home Depot through Aafes and get it for $178.20 and no tax. That makes it an even slicker deal.

The Skil 10" dual bevel sliding compound miter saw with Shadow LED is so much better for about $50 more at Lowes. IMO one of the best saws for value. If you cant afford that consider the 7 1/4" version from Walmart for 179
