seems like a shill product.

anyone actually buy this, and or just get it free and left reviews?
I bought one last year. Still going strong. I would say the video quality is on par or a bit better than Viofo A118v3 I am having in my wife car.

For those that already own one of these, how does the rear cam work with tinted windows? My rear window isn't blacked out but it is dark, and I'm curious of the rear cam is even worth getting.

Asked the priduct AI overlord if this uses a supercapacitor battery.. Its answer:

"No, the Pelsee P1 Pro 4K Dash Cam uses a lithium metal battery composition, not a supercapacitor"

This is quite obviously a deal breaker..
Is there something wrong with the battery that's in it?

My car has 20% tinted rear window and back camera has no problem sees thru it during daylight. The videos are still fine. I have not checked the videos at night though.

FYI. I have to format the memory card on this one when it's full. I do not see where to set it to overwrite if full. I might have to do it about once a week….32 GB card.
Do you have the G‑Sensor/Impact Detection feature enabled? This function automatically saves footage when it detects a collision or sudden braking, and those files cannot be overwritten unless you manually delete them or format the SD card. Over time, these protected videos will continue to use storage until the card becomes full.

In general, it's better to have a capacitor in a dashcam as they handle extreme heat better than batteries. But, if you don't live in the south, or park your car mostly in the shade, battery powered dashcams should be fine.

Lithium Metal batteries are non-rechargeable and one is most likely used for storing data while the camera is off. Think of it like a CMOS battery. This camera doesn't stay on after it's been plugged in sufficiently to hold a charge so I'm pretty sure it uses super capacitors. In the product specifications, it lists that the device can operate at temperatures ranging between 22°F and 176°F, which is similar to my super capacitor Viofo dash cam I purchased in 2022.
Anyways, I live in Florida so if my car explodes in the summer, I'll find out.

I had the same issue even i disabled all the G-Sensor/Impact detection features. I emailed their support and tested different cards etc. At last they sent me the newest firmware and so far it's working great. definitely reach out to them if you have any issues.

For that price, it's not real 4K. It's 2K upscaled to 4K. Also, doesn't list which Starvis 2 sensor, so it's the IMX675. You want the IMX678, which is real 4K.
