Spider mites can show up anywhere, they can be worse inside because there's none of the predators. However theyre easy to remove, you can get a spray but also just rinse them out with a hose.

It's a finicky breed indoors which makes it extra susceptible to pests, which then spread to other plants.

Not saying to avoid it altogether, but just making it known.

Spider mites are a warning and thrive under dry and dusty conditions. Brown leaf tips are another. No plant is suitable for all homes. Do your homework and you'll be fine.
