Set up is much easier with MyQ. But my opener doesn't support MyQ when I replaced it, I got this and it works great.

I wouldn't say it's better. MyQ is great for simplicity, but you are VERY locked down to just using the MyQ app. If you are into any other SmartHome ecosystem, the Meross is the way to go. Required a little bit of installation, but nothing crazy. I have one and it works great, I use Apple home as my SmartHome hub.

you can make most openers wi-fi enabled with this ( being a bridge) but myq is tied to cloud and there's limitations such as remote opening and closing not being possible for security reasons and not able to do automations

Bought this and returned it for the MSG150HK to make sure it works with Apple Home Kit. I guess my LiftMaster had Security 2.0 which is flaky on this MSG100

I'm happy with the MSG150...way better than the MyQ garbage and also don't have to rely on the garage door sensor cable.
