I've had this mower for a couple of years now. I think I paid $499 or $549. Great mower. The only knock I have is that the self propelled function can "overheat" somewhat quickly if it's hot outside (it will just beep and not propel) and if you're using self-propelled, you need to let off the handle a second or two before you stop, pivot, and turn around or go backwards. It needs a second or two to "change gears".

How's the battery? And how many amps you got?

The same 6 Ah one and then I also got a smaller one when I bought a trimmer from a guy on FB Marketplace. The bigger one is enough to do my 1/4 - 1/3 acre yard plus enough to trim and run the blower -- unless I let the yard get out of control and/or it's super hot outside.

I recommend keeping the battery and charger in a climate controlled area (not the garage) to keep the battery life optimal (not just for individual use, but for the long haul).

I've had the older non propelled model for probably 6 or 7 years. It takes a beating and keeps on ticking. I pretty much drag it up and down steep surfaces and spots I can't fit a riding mower. It does a good job.

Kobalt and Masterforce are made by GW.

Kobalt 80v is rebranded Greenworks 80v. Contrary to OP's (AI written) post, GW 80v batteries are compatible with Kobalt (but do require shaving a tiny bit of plastic to use across platforms).

have one for 5+ years now. still going strong.. I have dense grass so when it's wet or too moist it will sometimes stall out the machine and it starts beeping but I just shake it and bang it front to back to knock out sticking wet grass and fire it up again.. I'd prefer more power for that reason but if the grass is dry you good
