This looks like a great deal. 2 weeks ago I gave Aliexpress a shot and pulled the trigger on a DatouBoss 12V 100ah deep cycle. I never ordered from them before and it didn't go well. It was DOA. I got 0 volts out and tried to get it to take a charge in every way I possibly could. 2 different LFP chargers showed no power drawing from home AC. Now they're playing the merry-go-round of asking me for video evidence and pictures. I upload them and the same cycle starts again the next day. I'm on day 3 of this (doing all the uploads again) and if happens again I'll just go straight to file a CC dispute. I expected they would ultimately have me return it at my expense. I know we take our chances with any on-line retailer but Aliexpress seems a bit ridiculous.

I hope you figure out your return, but if you get screwed you could try bridging your new DOA battery to a charged one while the charger is hooked up, so the charger recognizes that it's hooked up to something. Then unhook the bridged battery and see if the charger does it's thing now.
It is concerning that your new battery seems to have discharged itself though. These lithium phosphate batteries are designed to be able to be drained to 0% and recharged, thousands of cycles.

I got in on that deal but mine never shipped and they just refunded my money. Guess I was lucky.

Thanks for the tip. I actually did that. As soon as I disconnected the bridged battery the charger shut off. I used a LiTime charger as well as a NOCO Gen 10. Voltmeter shows 0.0 volts. I feel like it's one of the posts internally not having contact. Maybe a cracked weld or something. Obviously don't want to void any 'warranty' by trying to get it opened. If it was just bad cells or BMS I should still get some voltage out and/or charging in.

Yeah that battery seems defective and internally open just like you said. Hope they let you exchange.

I've generally had good customer service with Aliexpress. If you're getting the literal run around with the seller, you should be able to escalate it to aliexpress and I've personally found them to rule in my favor most of the time.

I bought the same one, seems to charge fine with a noco battery charger and in a string of 4 through a solar charger. It's a near identical replica of this eco-worthy. Luck of the draw, I guess. Sorry you had a bad experience though.

They are OK for small stuff or under $20. They are pretty good in most cases, however. Most sellers on Amazon or eBay are also located in PRC and customer experience is no different.

I buy plenty of items from aliexpress. Twice last year scammers sent me a small worthless piece of junk instead of what I ordered. In one case I ordered a $40 power supply and received a 50 cent drain cover. Aliexpress made things right and the Sellers were no more on the platform. I'm sure they will pop up under a new name.

The most expensive item I have bought was a $55 mini audio amp to replace a blown plate amp on a subwoofer. Zero issue with the transaction (shipped from the USA) I only pay through PayPal as the buyer is king when it comes to disputes. Cashback sites and Cap. One shopping usually save me another 5-15% off and another 3% cashback with my PayPal Mastercard. Zero worries about using them and Temu for that matter.

Since I did my post about the DOA battery, I just want to update that Aliexpress did process a refund on my purchase. It's just emails at this point, but I'm sure the credit will appear on my card. I will say that I agree with LaughingSomnambulist and what was said about their good customer service. In the end it appears they did take care of the situation very well. I didn't get the battery I wanted but I do feel better about buying from Aliexpress going forward.

That battery is locked up by the BMS, because the international voltage is less than 10V. The only way to bring it back to life would be to open up the case and connect your charger straight to the battery cells. You would have to totally bypas the BMS. Also, if you can, get one of those bemchtop power supplies, they're great and will let you dial the exact amount of voltage, or amperage and put you in total control of charging.
That way you could boost the battery cells to let's say 12V at first, then continue charging through the BMS
Look up the term "Top balancing", you will need to do that on that battery ...

Agreed. If this was Amazon I'd be all over it.

I had my first "return" with Aliexpress recently. I ordered 1000 magnets of a certain size and I was shipped maybe 100 magnets of that size, and then random screws, bolts, etc (I assume just to increase it's "weight"). Aliexpress immediately offered me $3 back (10%)... yeah no. So then they made me ship it back to them but the instructions said to "record you packaging it" etc...

You only get three "free returns" a month I recall seeing (but other pages say 5). So I wasted one because someone didn't ship me what I ordered at all.

With all that said I've heard this brand makes great batteries (considering they are on the cheap end). I have some other Lithium batteries in my boat [trolling motors] that have worked amazing but one has gone bad. Thankfully I had an aftermarket warranty on it and they refunded me immediately.
