I have 4 of these and three of them don't turn on for more than 3 hours on dim. Either the charging system is bad or the batteries are duds. What pieces of shit. Also, do not believe the reviews. Some talk about customer support. There is none. Amazon is CS and they try to replace them, but it is definitely a hit or miss on the batteries or the charging system. For the initial charge, there is not usb-c. You will need sunlight to charge them and they take forever and like I said 3 out of 4 are duds.

These are a crapshoot and you get what you pay for. I bought 4 of these about 3 months ago. 2 of them failed within the first week. It's tempting to think that they're so cheap that it's worth the gamble... but you're gonna invest time setting them up and then a bunch of time trying to figure out if it's not working because you set it up incorrectly or if it's actually a dud. I recommend avoiding these.

These solar motion flood lights are best for simple outdoor path and porch lighting, with motion detection that turns on smoothly and brightness that can match pricier options. The separate solar charging works well in partial shade, and the lights are easy to mount and detach. Real world durability is uneven, though, with reports of weak batteries, short runtimes, warped panels, and little weather sealing. Setup also requires turning them on manually, and the lack of a USB charging port or clear safety certification stands out. A practical pick when placement and price matter most.

U need to turn it on in the back...after a few hours of sunlight charge There is a white button in the back. It is stupid that it doesn't auto turn on after charge.

I bought those lights and then saw the Project Farm review and recommendation for the Philips lights, after installing those next to the Philips I ended up returning the Philips as these have same brightness and better motion detection.

Indeed. Almost anything people buy with a battery should be used with caution. Mounting to a separate pole, on brick or fiber cement siding, or with a metal plate behind it is the safest way to use these things that have zero QC or product safety testing. Even then, they won't last long, and will be in the landfill in no time.

What direction does the solar panel face on your install? And does it get a lot of shadow?
