I have a 3 device license and I always swap devices. All I have to do is login and remove the device you don't want to use anymore from the list

In my several decades of life, I have yet to find anything advertised as lifetime that actually is lifetime. There's bankruptcy or just going out of business or changing the terms or coming up with an updated program that ends up retiring the lifetime app or subscription. Or a company gets bought out and that ends anything lifetime

Pro tip, you can add their list as your DNS for Android.

I do this for my kids Android devices with the sole purpose of avoiding ads in their games. Works flawlessly.

Once they dump and sell the company this will be a chinese spyware company looking at everything you do. Seen it too many times with these lifetime license products.

Once they dump and sell the company I'll uninstall it – hypothetical problem solved!

It doesn't work for directly blocking YouTube ads on IOS, you'd need to hit Share, and send the video to be opened in the AdGuard app to play the video without ads.
Or you can use Brave browser.

I prefer/use NextDNS instead. It gives me all the control I need on what to block and not block, and I can manage it centrally instead of per device. I can also create separate DNS profiles, per device or per device type (e.g., computers, mobile devices, smart TVs, IoT, etc.) if needed. The caveat is that the free plan limits you to 300,000 DNS queries per calendar month. I have it set up on several (6+) devices and have yet to reach that limit, though.

In iOS, I set up a NextDNS profile, which is much, much lighter than running a DNS app in the background. On macOS and Windows, the NextDNS app is extremely light; plus, I use uBlock Origin at browser level, so no need there. No Android app, but the OS has built-in support for DoH/DoT. (As does Windows.)

I have nothing against Adguard. I use many of their block lists. Their iOS implementation was too battery-draining for me in the past, reason why I switched to NextDNS at the time. I am also a bit skeptical (personal bias) of Adguard because of its Russian origins, and we all know what happens to Russians who say no to the Russian government. But that needn't be a concern if you're not a high-value target.

IMO, this is a good deal if you really need such a solution.

I've got this from a previous deal.

Can't use the app on Android phones. Still works on some Android TV versions. iOS is limited to Safari browser. Windows app works well.

I think they're moving towards getting people to start using their paid DNS service which works by giving you a unique DNS address to their servers. There's a free version that's limited to 300,000 queries a month, which may be enough for one device, but not more.
What do you mean by you can't use the app on Android?
I've been using this for like 7 years on multiple different Android phones.

I bought a lifetime license many years ago and used it...until I discovered NextDNS. NextDNS is vastly superior, and doesn't send data to servers in Russia or Cyprus.

Are you using it on mobile devices?

I stopped doing it for other reasons. I never had those issues, but some app stopped working.
That's basically what I meant - some apps would crash or throw persistent errors, often stimulated by connection issues but AdGuard was more finicky overall than other network tunnels for timing out. Doesn't change though that the app is great for non-DNS.

Drains battery on my android phone. Not sure if there's anything we can do to prevent this from happening.
As a positive though, it dramatically cuts down on network traffic by blocking so much that power consumption gets offset for that reason.
