Wait, what's the problem with the charging port on the bottom? It looks like you can leave it plugged in and still use it while it is charging (unless I'm missing something).
I have Govee products all throughout my home. Unless you're really short on space like living in a dorm, I would go with the regular non-speaker lamp and a Sonos speaker instead.
I got this at launch. The best reason to get this is if you like to decorate the inside of your home or a room with Govee products. It has a feature called "Music Dream View". Basically, you can sync almost any newer Govee products with your music however you want - fully customizable and it's a fun experience every time. Besides that, the sound is good, lamp is good (and fully customizable)....Lamp is big and yeah battery life isn't great but can be used plugged in if you don't mind that it has its own non-USB-C wall adapter. Obviously, there are tons of better speakers out there but if you like Govee products, can't go wrong with it.

I got my non-speaker Govee lamp for ~$55 on sale and I got Sonos Era 100 used but like new on Amazon for $115 during their sale, but it gets sold out quickly. I think getting Sonos refurbished on Sonos website or Amazon is the way to go.
