Correct, these are not the same materials or construction as the original or classic 1000 mile boot. I have the USA-made Classic 1000 mile and prefer both the Horween leather, fit and style to the Red Wing Beckman, though the Red Wing is a fine boot in it's own right.

Of course, those boots retail for $400.00, so this is a totally different price point. Based on all accounts, these seem like a reasonable buy at $130.00, but it kinda bugs me they use the 1000 moniker for these.

Do these hold up well to hard work use or more so just a stylish boot?

Nice price, might give them a try. How do these fit compared to Red Wing Moc toes? Also just found out that these are made in Bangledesh.

Yeah they shouldn't play games with the 1000 moniker. I wasn't able to find a country of origin, maybe I missed it on the page, anyways I found out by chatting with them.

NIce boots and good deal but the legacy models are not equivalent to the traditional 1000 mile boots in materials and construction.

Yeah, I have a pair of real 1000 mile boots, so this really intrigued me. But it didn't take long to see that they have just watered down the 1000 mile name.

Style boot more than work boot. Wolverine has mixed in their 1000 mile name to sell more product and its tarnishing the 1000 mile reputation. Well known youtube boot reviewers talk about even the classic 1000 mile boots QC went down.

These don't even come close to the Red Wing Traction Tred moc toe which are about $270 and these are the ones people in construction wear not the their "classic moc toe" which are made more for fashion wear but still okay for light construction use like if you're a PM or something.

Wolverine's pull-up work boots, both steel-toe and regular, are very uncomfortable. They don't offer half sizes, and both the wide and standard widths pinch. Red-Rooster boots are comfortable and are in a similar price range. I tried on a pair of Thorogood pull-ups (the ones with the American flag) at Cabela's, and they were much better. Buy a better boot, for your feet anyway.

Agree! The BLVD 1000 mile collection was a small step down from the originals. I got a pair on a good sale and they are a solid Mexico-made value option that retained a goodyear welt and good materials. This new line seems like a major step down from even those and are all just glued together. Just call them the 100 mile collection.

I got a pair of the Rip Van Winkle 1000 mile boots, they are very nice, these are not so much. Still not bad for $130 but they should have named them something else
