So when the hardware inside the 27i gets a bit long in the tooth, you can retire it and just use the screen as a standalone monitor. In this example the Lenovo AIO is not a touch screen model. However, the biggest gripe I have with comparable AIO devices with multi-touch is that even when they incorporate a video input to maintain basic functionality as an external display, they fail to also add a USB upstream port to allow the display's multi-touch functionality to also be maintained.
