Considering a 64gb micro sd card is going to run you $10+ alone this is a decent deal. The stock cards from Anbernic are the few that aren't trash.

The device itself will play everything PS1 and below smoothly. You can also play plenty of dreamcast and 2D or lightweight PSP. It's also extremely small. I personally went with the miyoo A30 for a stick and better N64 experience, but these are solid too. Direct competitors to each other and similar performance.

No wifi on this holds it back a bit for some. Retro achievements and scraping come to mind.

Others at this size are miyoo a30, XU mini m, and magicx zero 28 which runs android without a touchscreen.

Not sure I'd recommend this one for someone just getting into the hobby but I understand based on the price.

don't waste ur money, even with 3.5 inch screen, I find it tiny to play comfortable for a while. at least 4 inch and up to play retro nicely

Its not an android handheld, the chip is too slow to use more memory.
