The device itself will play everything PS1 and below smoothly. You can also play plenty of dreamcast and 2D or lightweight PSP. It's also extremely small. I personally went with the miyoo A30 for a stick and better N64 experience, but these are solid too. Direct competitors to each other and similar performance.

Others at this size are miyoo a30, XU mini m, and magicx zero 28 which runs android without a touchscreen.
Not sure I'd recommend this one for someone just getting into the hobby but I understand based on the price.
Setting up n64 controls is a pain but everything else like ps1, gba snes is totally flawless. If you like to tinker you'll get this to do everything you want within reason, if you don't, stick to lighter systems and you'll be fine.
