While I agree if you can only pick one taz would be the choice, this is different than tret or taz. Use this in the morning and taz at night. Want the absolute best? Use taz and azaleic every night while alternating c and copper every morning

Tret is a short term solution to current problems. Using vitamin c daily is a daily routine you can use forever for anti aging. And should use!

How much more effective is taz over 0.50% tret? How can I get taz without a prescription? Also - which copper are you referring to?

I'm glad you don't notice it! I actually never noticed it on myself, but when when my husband used it, I definitely noticed it. 😬 If you search online, other people have noted this and it is a common comment for a lot of good vitamin c serums as mtbizzle noticed. But I have switch to using either the Vanicream or Cerave ones (whichever I can get on sale), and they have zero scent.

For what its worth - this is super liquid-y, almost the same consistency as water. There are some others that are more gel or lotion-like that make application a lot easier. For example, there is a deal here for a serum by EQQUALBERRY.

Having said that, the timeless brand and this specific product are highly recommended by its users and dermatologists

This is still the best high quality budget friendly Vitamin C product out there! If you find a better one, please let me know!
Yes it has a smell from the ferulic acid. But I can get over it for the benefits it provides.
Tretinoin is different than Vitamin C... it's an antioxidant that pairs well with sunscreen. Some people can't handle Tret and use vitamin C instead.
Use it night and day if you're afraid of spoilage and refrigerate.
Use a pH balancing toner before it to improve absorption.
There are a lot of Vitamin C derivatives and this is the highest active form. Be careful for first time users.
You should be looking for 15-20% concentration which this is.
Taz is no better than Tret but please consult an expert/dermatologist. There's also adap for acne. Tret is good enough for most I think. Derms always start off with Tret.

I realized these oxidize within a month or two of opening, but is there a good shelf life for these as long as they are unopened? It's a good deal, and I'd like to buy a few bottles
