If you're not into ice fishing, well I've seen people use these as if they were dock demons -- stubby, light rods that are fun for farting around. That said, I only have one experience with the uglystik combo reel and it wasn't a great one!

I bought this via the same deal last week. Feels like a reasonably nice ice combo at this price. It came with an abu garcia reel, which feels decent enough for ice fishing.
