NatureBell is a real, high-volume brand that sells heavily on Amazon, but its reputation in the supplement industry is a bit of a mixed bag. When it comes to their quality control, independent watchdogs have found conflicting results across their product lineup:
The Good: In a recent 2025 independent test by the supplement transparency platform SuppCo, NatureBell was one of the few brands whose NAD+ supplements actually passed the test and met its label claims.
The Bad: In 2022, the reputable supplement manufacturer NOW Foods ran independent tests on various magnesium supplements sold on Amazon and found that NatureBell (along with several other budget brands) failed the tests and mislabeled their actual magnesium content.
The Parent Company: NatureBell is owned by the same parent company that produces Microingredients (DPL Health/Bayland Health). Microingredients has recently faced California Proposition 65 violation notices regarding heavy metal contamination (specifically lead) in some of their plant and root powders.
Creatine monohydrate is incredibly cheap and easy to manufacture, so it is less likely to be heavily adulterated compared to expensive herbal extracts. However, the brand's historically spotty track record is worth keeping in mind.
Who is their 3rd-Party Testing Company?
NatureBell does not disclose the name of the third-party testing laboratory. While their Amazon listing and packaging heavily market that the product is "3rd Party Lab Tested for Purity and Potency," they do not provide a public Certificate of Analysis (COA) or name the facility that handles the testing.
In the unregulated supplement industry, a vague claim of "third-party tested" is unfortunately just marketing unless the brand is completely transparent about who did the testing and allows consumers to view the actual lab reports. Highly trusted brands usually use accredited labs like Eurofins or Alkemist Labs, and they will proudly tell you so.
If you want absolute peace of mind regarding purity and heavy metals, you are generally better off looking for brands that carry an NSF Certified for Sport or Informed Choice certification, or brands that publish their exact lab COAs directly on their website.
