Lots of reviews that show it breaking at the head, anyone with real world experience with this particular model. Love the idea of the nano sockets.

This is the 17mm (3/8" equivalent ratchet) and not the 22mm one (1/2" equivalent ratchet)...really want the larger one to use with my Quinn low profile sockets....they don't have a ratchet out yet for them.

Heading is a tad misleading since this is just the ratchet and its is another $60 for the "Astro Tool 6mm-24mm" sockets.
A decent markdown. I have used mine a few times though have not really "tested" it. Consider it more for tight spots but not something you can use the really break free bolts or nuts. (as with any ratchet really).
It will last proportionately long to the abuse you show it. It costs less than 1 socket from a quality brand - it performs better than the price so its a decent value.
I will add that the retention ring in my first one was not tight on delivery so had to do a return. The mechanism is reasonably smooth though.

I have this and the 10.5" wrench with the Astro brand nano sockets. Both have come in handy when I needed them but I haven't used them for any heavy torque applications, mostly just tight spots. One thing to keep in mind with these which I didn't even think of until I got in a tight spot is that they do not have a switch to change directions which I think is an issue. You have to remove the wrench and flip it. if you are in a tight spot, which is what they are meant for, you might not be able to get them off.

The title is a little misleading. It sounds like you get the sockets which you don't. You need to buy it depending.
I bought this a couple years ago. I don't use it daily but when I do need to use it I am glad I have it. There are some spots that are too tight to get a normal size socket.
I also want to point out that I DID break mine after 2 years of owning it. I contacted Astro and they sent me another one right away without any issues.

Do I need this if I already have a 10.5"?

Getting stuck and not having a reverse switch is my biggest fear with this kind of setup. If it's really tight have to use the nano socket with an open end 17mm wrench (or just a wrench instead of socket).

I bought the shorter 3/8 nano ratchet last year....it's Ok. Kinda sucks bc the flex head is sensitive and makes it hard to keep consistent torque and slips. And yes I do use them with the nano sockets that are awesome. But the nano flex head ratchet didn't impress me.

Anyways, I just bought XL just because I couldn't resist lol
