They are. one of them is liek $40 and another i believe is $95. The good news? I haven't replace a filter and my unit still spits out 12 TDS/PPM water. so unless you're using an insane amount of water, i think the filters will last you awhile. When i installed my unit, I put a $20 inline TDS meter so i can see what it's spitting out. Here [amazon.com].

Regular RO filters simply use water pressure to operate.

2:1 is more efficient than 1:1 despite what others may have posted.

So, when you buy a DJI drone or Roborock vacuum you get no warranty cuz it's a Chinese company? Make it make sense.
Not OP, but I believe he meant that since this is drinking water and you are putting it in your body, if later it was discovered there was some type of material that made you ill or had other health issues, there would be no recourse since it's not an American company as opposed to warranties where you are just getting a refund if it breaks.

has anyone tried out cloud ro? Been seeing adds for them pop up. Looking to get an under sink ro system. Tired of buying 5 gallon jugs and having a water dispenser in the middle of the kitchen. Looking for ease and clean drinking water.

These comments are so funny when theres case after case of American companies routinely deceiving & endangering American consumers. The best part & is when they pay settlement to absolve themselves of what they've done & admit no wrongdoing. Those fines are built into their bottom line, which is why they'll never change. Keep worrying about big bad China tho lol
So your thinking is, it happens in the US so why not give the Chinese a chance when you can't even do anything to them?
That's your thought process?
It should be, holy F, these American companies that are subject to American laws have very little happen to them, and you think you're going to go with the companies that have less accountability?
You do you of course as I expect there's plenty of people like you out there. It's often why we're where we are. If more people cared, rather than didn't we'd be in a lot better place.

Nobody claimed that and is a straw man argument.

There's been plenty of cases where Chinese suppliers to even American companies have substituted things that weren't agreed upon and that subverted the American company's testing. An example is the glycerin scandal of dog food. Another one is melamine. But this isn't just Chinese Even generic drugs are questionable and manufactured overseas, often in unsanitary conditions, such as Ranbaxy.
These companies will often pop up again under a different company name, brand and etc. Even American companies I'm far more careful, because the American standard is completely lacking. So it's not just "warranty", because that would be the least of my concern.

It's the fact that once you're poisoned, no matter the "warranty" or monetary compensation, you're F'ed. Even in the US, the e.coli issues in our produce is scary, and people have gotten life long illnesses from that.

Anyhow, I'm digressing. Point is, be careful, because in the US, we have to prove it's dangerous to get something banned instead of proving it's safe.
If you don't care, just ignore it. I'm not here to convince people. It's too late for that. I'm just pointing out for those that care, that this company is making it look like they're from California when they're not, and is Chinese. If you care, you care, and if you don't, you don't.
