People buy these all the time as a portable docking station for their Switch, Laptop, Tablet etc.
I have this one for my kids and one "made" by Asus. Mirabox has high ratings for their products and plenty of people use them. Not sure what you think the issue is.
However I have heard that Nintendo changed the protocols on the Switch/Switch OLED and these will no longer work forNintendo.
