Good deal and mower but heavy so just take note of the weight. Also, this model specifically with the battery/charger combo (LM2206SP) had a revision mid-2024 to fix the high pitch whine coming from the self-propel system. You want to look for a box in-store that has the picture of the curved high-lift blade on the back (says "2 Lower Blades") which they now include with the fixed models, it's a somewhat small picture but you can tell the difference from the old box and the newer boxes.

Thanks for the reminder, forgot about that when ordering one for pickup. Here's a Reddit thread with a pic of what you are describing. Apparently you can get the noisy motor on the ver A replaced by ego but I'd rather not deal with that.

I just bought this mower and can confirm, it's HEAVY. Picking it up off the ground is difficult due to it's awkward size. I tried running it without self propel and it's a lot more of a workout than my old (much lighter) greenworks dual blade.

Unfortunately after 15-20min of mowing (my flat front yard that I just mowed last weekend) to test things out, the self propel failed throwing a flashing amber light whenever I tried to use it. I saw mention of possible self propel motor overheating causing this. Tried different batteries, waited hours, still same issue (and the motor/gearbox was stone cold). Blade motor worked fine. I'm guessing the temperature sensor cabling between the motor and the controller weren't properly installed and got damaged/pinched after a little use, causing a false overheat signal to the controller. 8hrs after purchasing, I was back and Lowes swapping it for another one. Going to test it today to confirm I don't have another of the same issue.

Looking underneath, the unit I received was definitely the aluminum cast self propel gearbox (not the earlier, noisy plastic one). It did come with the high-lift blade.

I need to buy a mower soon as the season is about to start. Wondering if this is a good deal or if I should hold off a bit longer in hopes of an even better deal.

Pulled the trigger, still waiting for the shipment, but looking at the order details in the app I'm noticing that it looks hackable? Mower w/ 10ah is $793.89, then the 5ah is $250.17

Think i can return the 5ah battery and keep the rest for $794?

I haven't followed mower deals closely myself but based on reddit info this deal sounds similar (if not the same) to what they did last year, and is probably the best we'll see other than end of year clearance or one-off open box type stuff.

I just returned the battery as well, no issues.
Saw a comment on reddit where someone tried to return the battery when picking up the mower and got rejected. For those picking up in store I would suggest making a separate trip at a later date to return the battery if doing so.
