This product contains Phenoxyethanol which is used in cosmetics to prevent the growth of microorganisms. Its maximum concentration in products is limited to 1% in the EU, the UK, and Australia, however it is not regulated in the USA or Canada.

It could also be implicated in endocrine system disruption, though further studies are needed to confirm this. Moreover, phenoxyethanol can cause severe eye damage if it comes into direct contact with the eyes.
