I know the Avia brand is laughed at for being Walmart, etc., but in my experience (as an old senior) Avia is pretty good, and the price is always reasonable. I have had several pairs over the years and they hold up fairly well. Maybe they don't look so great, but you won't find me bidding for a place on the cover of GQ magazine anyway. :-)

I agree that these are probably not the best shoes, but being on a limited budget these are great. I've even shopped at Goodwill, and these beat their prices hands down. Goodwill sells used beat up shoes at ridiculously high prices.

I would rock Avia before I even touch Hokas

They can hate if they want but I actually laugh at the crowd that pays 100s to wear what everyone else is wearing

The Avia 945 was a great shoe 40 years ago. Today I have no idea on their quality.

I wanted to add as an FYI to potential buyers that the Grey part on the sides of the shoe is a stiff plastic, which I wasnt expecting, but it's not a negative in any way.

These shoes are legit. I have probably 5 pairs now. Are they the best shoe in the world? No. Are there any issues with them? Not at all. 100% good for around the house, and one of these is actually my go to running shoe. So even the people who say, not for serious runners, I disagree. I run 2 5k's a week in a pair of Avia shoes (not these specifically, another model).
