Yeah, I have an old plan with AT&T with big discounts, so in order to make an upgrade to S26, the best value is by trading a S25 FE. So I would like to buy S25FE, trade it for the S26U, use the 3 months service in other device, and cancel it.
Spreading the discount over 3 years don't matter to me, I will stick to AT&T no matter what.

From what was posted and what I purchased to confirm that in this deal is that the S25FE is unlocked. Besides this is a prepaid deal so all you need to pay is the 3 months and when you walkout the phone is yours.....I dont see why you cannot trade this in with another Carrier.

What are you trading it in for?

I Guess S26 Ultra? https://tradein.att.com/offer-details
$1,300 Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra:
  • Must meet AT&T Trade-in Program requirements and be a Samsung S24+ or newer in any condition, or have a trade-in value of $230 after device condition assessment.
  • Eligible devices:
    • Apple: iPhone 14 Pro Max, 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max, 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, iPhone Air
    • Samsung: S24+, S24 Ultra, S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 Edge, S25 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip6, Z Fold6, Z Flip7, Z Fold7
    • Google: Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro Fold, 9 Pro XL, 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL
    • Other: Moto Razr Ultra 2025
I am sure the $1,300 is spread over the 3 years as credit and not an upfront credit so if you cancel you dont get the full credits? Also, assuming the S26 is locked?

Makes sense. So the scoop here is that the Promo was extended at least until next Wednesday for the free phones.

The Samsung S25FE is the best bang for the buck specifically because its unlocked. Most of the store employees actually do not know this as being the case and are absolutely certain that these are locked and can only be unlocked after 1 year as they were suspecting why I was interested in additional phones lol.

They are apparently also only getting a few of these devices per week; my local store said only 2 per week.....cant verify this but I am unable to get multiple in each week and am only able to get 2 so far in the last 2 weeks.

Ha! Wink.........I am on a legacy Tmobile plan and have 6 lines but 3 of them are old.....1 the phone died few weeks back, the other 2 are literally 7+ years old at this point S9 and S10.........so taking this deal to the max and replacing them if possible. At $220 its a solid deal for those lines.

The iPhone, is for my son who might not survive without having an apple phone lol (teen!). .......but I did not get that iPhone 15 as its $300 + $165 + $25 and if its not unlocked I'd have to stick with the plan for an entire year, making it not worth the effort. I mistakenly was going to get the iPhone thinking all phones were unlocked but without anyone confirming I did not go through. Initially he was okay with the iPhone 13 that is free but I pushed him to upgrade to a newer device but the unlock issue would have remained.

You can still switch to TracFone after 3 months, starting at $15 a month.

That promo was removed today.
You didn't miss anything though, most of the stores have low stock of the FE or they don't want to sell 4 of them in one deal.

So, does this in-store promo require 3-month service prepayment (not 1-month) now?

Not sure I understand your question but its 3 months prepaid $165+ $25 activation + taxes to get this deal instore with the Free S25 FE and it requires a number to Ported in from certain carriers. Some people posted that if its from certain carriers it wont count as a valid port and they'll charge $99 as they do for a new phone number.

Thank you for the clarification. I thought some comments imply that this deal can be done with only 1-month service pre-payment (not 3 as it says on the website) + number port-in from certain carrier, and $25 activation charge.

Yea at best its YMMV as this is the first time doing it myself and I asked the shop near me to give me a number and I volunteered to pay like $20 and they agreed so got 2. Thats all they have apparently so calling 2 other stores they wont budge and want $99 on top. I might do it but they are farther (45 min almost).

Very handful of stores are still doing 1 month service if you are getting multiple devices (though they are limiting 1 for FE), but most stores are asking 3+ months of service. And all stores near me are charging taxes on retail price.

Are online orders also unlocked phones?
Considering doing it online even though it costs more, if there's no wait for it to unlock. It looks like Verizon new unlock period is 365 days.
