It's different. The Bose plays movies and music very good.

And the Samsung Q990D/F plays movies very VERY good but music not so good.

The Samsung has more rumble in the base but the base from Bose is much more clean and precise.

While both brands use Wi-Fi, they prioritize different strengths. Samsung focuses on a "complete theater in a box" with included rears, while Bose focuses on modularity and music-first tuning.

I'd warn everyone. This will sound good, but the software/firmware is garbage. I owned this and had to get rid of it because it would constantly get unpaired from the TV or otherwise disconnect. I had to reboot it manually at least once a week. The Sonos I replaced it with just works.

Get a pair of era 300's set them as rears and put the ones as fronts with the soundbar. I think in your case no reason to get out of the Sonos ecosystem...but I have no experience with this Bose system.

They have been activating the code with a gap of a few days for the last two weeks. Hope it comes back; keep a look out.

I feel, and admittedly I could just be completely ignorant on the subject. If you're wanting to utilize atmos at its fullest, those rears don't seem to have upward firing speakers. I also don't know how many upward firing speakers the sonos or Samsung soundbar has but those two slits on the end of the Bose sound bar seem a bit underwhelming. Again, speaking only about atmos, not quality. Feel free to correct me if I'm completely wrong here...

I am not sure this is useful to my usecase I have home theater system currently 7.1. So I can I replace my central speaker with this sound bar and front satellite speakers with these ones? How do I connect these speakers and integrate with my AV receiver?
You can't. Soundbars like this don't have speaker inputs. They usually have 2 or 3 inputs -- 1 HDMI, and 1 A/C power plug. Some also have a 3rd optical connection. You're meant to connect to the soundbar directly from the TV via the eARC/ARC enabled HDMI out port(s) on your TV.

I have the following setup: - Smart Soundbar 900 speakers- Bass Module 700- Surround Speakers 700 (also AKA OmniJewel I believe) .I started off with the Soundbar with it being a 2022 purchase. Then, the Bass Module I purchased in December, 2024 while the Surround Speakers I purchased in January, 2025.The setup sounds very good. Both movies and music
I have this same setup. Is it worth it for upgrading the 900 to ultra? I've heard the 700 surround are better spacial than these surround but in my setup. The 700s are very weak even at 100%.

Not sure, I think the Ultra just has some AI enhancing stuff. For the 700 surrounds, I heard covering them during calibration (AdaptIQ thing) will make them louder if that's what you're looking for. I haven't tried it myself

Thanks I'll try that. I don't have the adaptIQ, but I purchased it last week off eBay, should arrive this week. Hope it helps.
