Seasons 1 and 2 were great. 3 was disappointing. Only 16 episodes (Season 5 was only allowed to have 6 episodes) left of this show and then it's done. No Star Trek shows filming or in development for the first time in a decade.

That was the good version of Strange New Worlds.
I don't know what the hell happened between S2 and S3 but they ruined the sauce somehow.
Suddenly the writing was as bad as Discovery and Picard's was. I'm assuming they fired all of the good Strange New Worlds writers and replaced them with the hacks that wrote those two trainwrecks.

I thought S1 was amazing and back to basics Trek. S2 pushed the envelope and was quirky fun. S3 crashed and burned.

Same tacky melodramatic writing crew dating all the way back to TNG. Never understood why people distinguish TNG from the later series. All terrible.
